Spelunking, family style

One thing that nearly everyone on my side of the family likes to do is hike, so for one day of our reunion we decided to make the trek up to Timpanogos Cave. The hike is steep and dangerous (2 people died on it last year), but the reward at the top is well worth it.

I haven't been in a ton of caves in my life, but out of the handful that I have been in, this by far is the coolest. Unfortunately, poor lighting in the cave meant that I didn't get a lot of great pics, but I don't know if pictures could have really done it justice anyway.

The "heart" of the cave. A hanging stalactite that weighs more than a truck.

Does it mean we are getting old when all the adults wake up the next morning complaining of aches and pains from the hike? Dang, I think it does.

Would you believe that I have been to Timpanogos? Sounds crazy, but it is true.
