After our relaxing time in Bear Lake we couldn't resist an hour drive over the mountains to Star Valley, Wyoming. Star Valley in the summer is magical for my kids - they love exploring and playing in the mountains all day long. It's heaven for Josh too as he gets to shoot some of his guns. I love visiting here as well, but I don't think Star Valley loves me back. I am always so miserable with hay fever - one of these years I will get smart and actually come with some meds.
We went up on the hill for a picnic lunch. Sophie and Aunt Landi treasure hunted and enjoyed the flowers.
Before anyone realized it Sophie has plopped down by a stream and had painted herself with mud. Miraculously, her white Nike shoes actually came clean!

I like the mud picture too. So jealous I could go in the mountains with you.
I love the beautiful little girl in the field of flowers - don't know who the child in the mud is. Does she have parents?!
